If one of your New Year resolutions is to get in touch with your creative side, why not join the Shelfanger Stitchers. The group, who meet fortnightly on Thursday afternoons, are about to embark on fresh projects for 2018 and would welcome new faces. We would like to welcome you to Shelfanger Stitchers We meet on alternate Thursday afternoons at 2.00pm at the Walnuts, Church Road. We offer you a chance to meet up for a quiet couple of hours of stitching-knitting or other needlework, a cup of tea and a chat. Whilst some of us work on our own projects, we also make items for local charities, public services and community organisations. Currently we are knitting Trauma Teds for the Norfolk Emergency Services and a selection of baby clothes and cot blankets for the Premature Baby Unit of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (see adjacent picture). These are all following simple patterns which can easily be completed even if you haven't knitted for a while or have forgotten how! Whatever your ability, we offer help all the way and share our triumphs - and disasters! For more information about future projects, wool donations and how to join phone Helen Green on (01379) 652199.
